H3, H5, H7 add the forward edge of triode and transformer-coupled circuits. Transients sharpen, leading edges get teeth, the music gains drive without losing definition.
A/B Test — Trust Your Ears
One tap drops every band to zero so you can hear your tuning against flat reference instantly. Switch in ~5 ms at the FPGA, no fade, no skip. Decide with your ears, not the numbers.
Nothing is upsampled. Nothing is convolved on the CPU. Every adjustment happens at the silicon level, in the FPGA, on the way to the DAC — the only DAP on earth where you can shape harmonic character without touching the source.
NOS & OS — Choose Your Sound.DX340 only
Modern DACs interpolate (oversample) the digital signal before conversion. Some listeners prefer the raw, unfiltered character of NOS (Non-Oversampling); others prefer the smooth, fully-interpolated sound of OS (Oversampling). Infinity Player exposes both — switch in real time, no reboot, no resampling pipeline.
NOS — Non-Oversampling
The DAC receives the file's native samples without internal interpolation. Many audiophiles describe NOS as more direct, more “alive”, with sharper transients — at the cost of some high-frequency aliasing artifacts that well-recorded material rarely exposes.
OS — Oversampling
The DAC's internal digital filter interpolates samples up to a higher rate before conversion. Smoother top end, lower out-of-band noise, the conventional “reference” sound that most measurement-focused designs target.
Both modes are bit-perfect to the file. The choice is preference, not fidelity — and Infinity Player is the only DX340 player that lets you A/B them on the fly.
Smooth, Balanced, or Detailed.DX340 only
Three voicings, one tap. Infinity Player exposes the CT7302's internal interpolation rate as a simple choice — from a warm, analog-leaning 2× up to the crisp, airy 8× that iBasso ships by default.
Smooth
2×Warm, analog-like. Softer leading edges and a relaxed top end — the most forgiving voicing for bright recordings or long listening sessions.
Balanced
4×Natural, detailed. The middle ground — neither rolled-off nor edgy. A safe default for most genres and most ears.
Detailed
